Healthy Collagen Granola
Why not try our simple healthy, nutty collagen granola recipe!
Easy to make, easy to share and totally delicious. This recipe is adjustable to suit your taste and dietary needs.
Ingredients
- 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (or GF oats for a GF option).
- 1 cup pecan nuts
- 1/2 cup pepitas
- 2 heaped tbsp of Nutraviva’s Collagen Hydrolysate powder, Marine Collagen powder or Vegan Collagen Alternative powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup chopped dried cranberries
- ½ cup of chocolate chips, or coconut flakes
Method
- Preheat oven to 175 °C and line a large baking sheet with baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, salt, cinnamon and collagen. Stir to mix altogether.
- Pour in the maple syrup or honey and vanilla. Mix well until the combination is lightly coated.
- Pour the mixture onto the pan and spread to an even flat layer.
- Bake until golden for approximately 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on the granola by checking regularly, stir halfway if necessary.
- Once cooked, allow granola to cool as it will further crisp.
- Top the granola with dried fruit and chocolate chips/coconut flakes. Then break up the granola into pieces.
- Store in an airtight container. The granola should last up to a month, if it doesn't get eaten by then!
