Collagen is classified by the Australian Institute of Sport as a Class B supplement and may be considered by athletes within monitored nutrition programs. Collagen is naturally rich in the crucial amino acids glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. These amino acids help to support collagen synthesis, replenish lost stores, reduce muscle soreness, inhibit inflammation, and improve connective tissue integrity and functionality during periods of high training.

Country of Origin:

There is currently no collagen hydrolysate powder manufactured in Australia. The only country where we could find a suitable grass-fed product is Brazil. All other countries we investigated were unable to separate the source material and appeared to have a blended variety of grass and grain-fed product. No added hormones are fed to cattle ensuring the highest quality of naturally sourced collagen.

Ingredients: Premium unblended bovine collagen hydrolysate protein powder.

 

The suggested daily collagen supplement intake for athletes is 20g, noting that an individual approach to supplementation should be considered as part of current training programs, nutritional needs, and recovery protocols.

Directions: Combine 2 tablespoons (20g) of dry powder into a smoothie or add
to a shaker with your favourite cold beverage and mix thoroughly until dissolved.
Let stand for 30 seconds and enjoy. Can be added to hot beverages. Take up to
twice per day.

Storage information: Do not refrigerate. Indefinite shelf life when stored dry.

I'm an older aged ultra runner currently rehabilitating from tendinitis in my foot. I've been having the collagen mix in yoghurt daily and have noticed improvements with IBS, less bruising of my skin and feel that the tendonopathy is much improved. Thank you
